Manish & Devika’s Hindu wedding
Manish and Devika chose the wonderful Whittlebury Park in Northampton as the venue for their Hindu wedding and reception.
After photographing their pre-wed a few weeks before, I had an idea on how beautiful their big day was going to be and it didn’t disappoint. They couldn’t have asked for better weather with the sun casting it’s golden glow on the arrival of their friends and family early in the morning.
The joys and celebrations were sky high as the groom and family was greeted by Devika’s family, and was welcomed to Whittlebury Park to the sound of the dhol players.
The wedding ceremony was a colourful, rich and emotional affair. I have been fortunate enough to photograph many weddings, and each one is different and unique in their own way. From tears to laughter, there is always something to capture, and this wedding had it all.
The reception in the evening carried on the celebrations, starting with the champagne reception. It all kicked off with the cake cutting, made by the super talented Paari Cakes. This was followed by plenty of dancing and good times into the late hours.
Manish & Devika were both amazing on the day, and it is clear to see that they make an amazing couple. They were both so chilled out, which made my life as an Indian wedding photographer in Northamptonshire a whole lot easier! It was a joy to photograph them both, which is hopefully reflected in their portraits. They definitely picked up some tips from our pre-wed!
So a massive congratulations to the happy couple, and I wish them all the best in the future! I had an amazing time documenting their special day at Whittlebury Park, and it’s ones like these that make me grateful being an Asian wedding photographer.
Here are a few highlights from their day:
