Wedding venue

Battersea Arts Centre

As an Asian Wedding Photographer in London, you get to see all types of Wedding Venues. From the small and intimate, to the grand and lavish. Then every once in a while, you get to work in a venue which flips everything on it’s head. And that is the Battersea Arts Centre in a nutshell!

It has to be one of the most spectacular settings I have photographed in.

In a somewhat unassuming exterior, you enter the front doors and through an ornate atrium. From there, you make your way into main venue and you are welcomed into a huge, dramatic space which will simply take your breathe away.

The Battersea Arts Centre is like something i’ve never experienced before as a photographer, until recently. It has such amazing character of old and new, so finding locations within the building for portraits is super easy. But for grand Asian Weddings in particular, it can hold it’s own.

The space is enormous with a high ceiling which curves round to the sides. The exposed brick and plaster on the walls adds another texture to the drama. One thing you do notice is there is no natural light. However, this only adds to the awe of the interior. Being creative in this space is a photographers dream, and one that I really enjoyed when I worked here.

As the name suggests, the venue is fairly centrally located in London in a busy, bustling part of Battersea. Accessing it via public transport is fairly easy, although coming by car is a bit trickier! But when a venue is this good, people will come and take in what is truly an amazing venue.
