Sam & Shaheen’s had their civil ceremony at the Leatherhead Registry Office, followed by their reception at Oatlands Park Hotel in Surrey the following day.
Despite the steady rain, this did not dampen the mood one bit for Sam & Shaheen’s wedding. Afterwards, we were able to take advantage of a brief dry spell with some portraits in the beautiful gardens behind the registry office.
With the formalities out the way, it was now the couple’s and guest’s opportunity to party! Oatlands Park Hotel is set within stunning grounds in Weybridge. Steeped in history, it first opened as a hotel in 1856. However prior to that, the grounds were originally the site of a grand Tudor palace built by Henry VIII in 1538. So a fitting stage for this wonderful couple!
With such stunning grounds, I was able to take some portraits of the couple before the party got going. Guests started to arrive and really take in the beautiful venue, and capturing their reactions as they did. With wonderful decor and food by Preeti Catering, the stage was set for a night of joy, laughter and lots of celebrations.
It was an awesome couple of days, and I can’t thank the couple enough for allowing me to be their Asian wedding photographer in Surrey. Sam & Shaheen make an awesome couple, and I wish them all the best for the future!
Here are some highlights for their Civil Wedding and Reception:
