Sagar and Sheena chose the lovely Riverside Venue in London as the setting for their wonderful Hindu wedding and reception.
Arriving at the venue early gave me a chance to take in the beautiful mandap and decor, provided by the talented Gayatri Events team. Soon after, guests started to arrive for the morning celebrations with everyone in a joyous mood.
As the crowd gathered outside, it was time for the groom, Sagar, to make his entrance supported by his parents, two sisters and the rest of his family. Cue the wild celebrations when the two families greeted each other for the start of what would be a wonderful wedding.
Once Sagar was seated in the mandap, the ceremonies with Sheena’s parents were conducted by Priest, Hemang Bhatt. Once concluded, it was time for the stunning Sheena to make her entrance. Everyone turned around to witness her make her entrance with her brother. It was clear to see that Sheena couldn’t wait to meet her husband-to-be at the mandap, with her beaming smile giving the game away.
With the ceremony underway and impeccability conducted by the Priest, it was a case of making sure every moment was captured. The reactions of the couple, the parents and the crowd are what makes weddings so unique, and it was all about documenting it all.
After the ceremony had concluded, it was time for portraits in the gardens of the Riverside Venue. Luckily the sun was out so we could take advantage of the nice light and location. This also gave the guests a chance to take a break, freshen up and relax ahead of the evenings entertainment.
The ice cold prosecco was being poured as the guests arrived for the cocktail reception. This gave both families the chance to mingle and celebrate the events earlier in the day, as well as looking forward to the evenings entertainment. Once everyone was seated in the main hall, it was time to welcome both sets of parents, followed by Sagar and Sheena for the cutting of their cake.
Speeches soon followed and again, it was about capturing all the reactions from the crowd and the couple, making sure the embarrassing stories about them were caught on camera.
It was a lovely day to be part of, and a privilege to be able to document their wedding and celebrations amongst their close family and friends. Congratulations to the happy couple, and here are some of the highlights from their day:
