Raman & Rakhi’s Hindu wedding & reception
Raman & Rakhi’s wedding and reception will definitely live long in the memory of their family and friends.
I first met them both at a wedding show and when they got in touch shortly afterwards, I knew if was be an amazing day. Being an Indian wedding photographer in Hertfordshire, I had various meetings and phone calls with them both. We planned for all eventualities, but the what we didn’t predict was snow on the first week of Spring! Thanks to the ‘Beast from the East’, the snow completely covered the grounds of the Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford, Hertfordshire, and made it look like a Winter wonderland.
However it was not all good news, as many of Raman’s friends got stranded in Ireland and couldn’t make it over. But the ones that did come over certainly made up for it.
Far from being deterred, Raman & Rakhi’s family and friends made their way to the venue and all in celebratory spirits. The Hindu ceremony was beautifully conducted and once concluded, I had the opportunity to do something I rarely ever do – take portraits in the snow!
Despite the freezing conditions, Raman & Rakhi braved the elements for a few minutes, enough time for me to get a couple of portraits of them around the beautiful grounds of the Hare Krishna Temple. Even their entire wedding party got involved for some group shots outside.
After the portraits, it was a short trip across Watford to Hunton Park Hotel where their reception was being held. With a quick coffee to warm me up, I had a chance to document getting ready shots of both the bride and groom, and eventually some portraits around the beautiful building.
With the toastmaster, James Hasler, making sure things were running smoothly, the party was in full swing when the couple’s friends and family performed a special dance routine in their honour. Cue cutout masks of the new Bride and Groom!
I loved every minute or Raman & Rakhi’s wedding and reception. Despite the weather, the happy couple were chilled and in great spirits the whole day. This certainly came across in their images. It was a joy being their Asian wedding photographer in Hertfordshire, and documenting all the emotions and celebrations amongst their family and friends. Congratulations to the happy couple, and here some highlights of their Indian wedding and reception:
“Without any hesitation or any doubt, I would recommend Bhavesh to any potential client.”
