A stunning Multicultural Wedding from start to finish at Euridge Manor in the Cotswolds

How do I even begin to describe Hugo & Kavita’s multicultural wedding? Let’s just say it was a day full of absolute joy, all the emotions and incredible entertainment. It was literally 100mph all the way.

Back at a beautiful venue

It was also great being back at one of my favourite venues – Euridge Manor. I’ve had the pleasure photographing here a few times in the last couple of years. Each time I come back, it feels like I’m in a destination wedding because of the stunning views and amazing setting.

So when Kavita & Hugo first got in contact, I was super excited to hear more about their Multicultural Wedding plans. And boy, it didn’t disappoint.

The day was to start in the boat house for their beautiful Hindu Wedding. Guests had a wonderful view of the ceremony from the other side of the lake, as well as the countryside beyond.

An entrance full of noise and colour

Hugo had made his entrance in spectacular fashion. There was plenty of noise and colour with smoke grenades, as he made his way to Kavita’s family for the start of the ceremony. Most of his family had come over from France and you could really see the excitement on everyones faces.

One thing I witnessed throughout the day was that the French certainly know how to have a good time. Every moment is worth celebrating and they set the tone with the Jaan arrival. And it all started with Hugo and his great sense of humour, keeping everyones spirits high.

After the lively greeting of the two families, Hugo was led down to the boat house with both immediate families. After a short ceremony, it was now time for Kavita to make her entrance. Accompanied by her two uncles, they made her way down the steps by the lake.

The excitement on her face was there for all to see as she took in everything before her. There was pin drop silence, except for the background music, as Kavita entered the mandap.

The curtain covering Hugo was quickly lowered, followed by huge cheers from everyone watching. The cheers continued throughout the Hindu Wedding ceremony with plenty of laughs and tears along the way.

As a multicultural wedding, the ceremony was a new experience for many of the guests. They were hooked on every moment, especially when Hugo & Kavita were providing the energy and entertainment throughout.

Following the ceremony, it was time to take advantage of the beautiful venue for some portraits. Euridge Manor has so many spots for amazing portraits. Every time I come back here I find somewhere new and we certainly discovered some more hidden gems.

As the day was looking jammed packed already, we had limited time for their session. But that didn’t stop us from getting some creative, natural portraits.

After the vidai, attentions soon turned to the next part of the day – the civil ceremony. Hugo & Kavita as well as their guests had time to change outfits before heading back outside.

A ceremony like something from a movie

The Event Stylists had beautifully set up the civil ceremony by the castle arch, with its signature crystal chandelier. The late afternoon sun was starting to dip, casting a beautiful golden glow on the venue. Perfect timing for when the wedding party made their way down the aisle, ending with Hugo and his mum.

Kavita and her dad walked down soon after, beaming as she stood next to Hugo. After readings by Kavita & Hugo’s siblings, it was time for the vows and exchange of rings…

…except Hugo brother had left them back in his room! Cue wild laughter as he bolted out of the ceremony to fetch them. He was back in quick time, just as the laughter started to subside. Don’t think that will be forgotten anytime soon!

With the rings now finally exchanged, Hugo & Kavita were officially named husband and wife. They were practically bouncing back down the aisle with their arms raised in the air. Now it was time to really party!

The good times continue

As the sun was setting during the drinks reception, some amazing speeches by the parents set the tone for the rest of the evening. Guests made their way inside the beautiful swimming pool room, patiently waiting for the newlyweds to make their way in.

As I was taking candids of the guests, the next thing I see were Hugo’s side of the family waving their napkins above their heads. Chanting for the couple to make their entrance. They must have heard because before I knew it, they burst through the doors, dancing through the crowd.

It was the wildest entrance I think I have ever seen. There was madness everywhere as Hugo & Kavita, followed by most of the guests, crowded onto the dance floor. The party was literally bouncing (especially as we were on top of a covered swimming pool!). It took a while for Hugo & Kavita to be heard as they made their speeches after guests had sat back down.

Amazing food, speeches and drinks followed, before the dance floor was once again bouncing again for the rest of the night.

So if you got this far, congratulations! I said at the top of the post that this was a full on day and now you know why! But what a day it was. There was never a dull moment and people were genuinely having the best time of their lives. Not to mention Hugo & Kavita themselves.

You could really see that they were living their best lives amongst their loved ones. They were such an amazing couple to work with. I don’t think they stopped smiling all day and you can see why. They had the wedding they dreamed of in an amazing location.

As a Multicultural Wedding Photographer, this one had it all. With the added French twist to the wedding, it was a joy to document and a real privilege being there to witness it all.

It really was tricky narrowing down the highlights for their wedding, but sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
