As far as intimate wedding venues go, Nicholas & Anisha couldn’t have found a more perfect spot than the beautiful York Lawns at Regents University London for their wedding.
With the marquee on the lawn ready, and cold drinks being served, it was the start of what proved to be a gloriously sunny and warm day. As guests arrived in numbers and mingled outside, it was a chance for me to walk around capture unobtrusive shots of them enjoying the sun.
With everyone now seated inside of the marquee with Nicholas at the front, Anisha made her way into the venue with her father. The ceremony was conducted with everyone silently listening to the Imam perform the marriage of both Nicholas & Anisha.
After the ceremony, people once again made their way outside to enjoy the late afternoon sun. Regents University London has an extremely picturesque facade facing the gardens, almost completely covered in greenery and beautiful flowers. This gave me the perfect backdrop for some portraits of the couple and their family and friends.
With everyone refreshed, the relaxed vibe of the wedding carried into the evening reception dinner. Speeches, cake cutting, great food and great company followed. It was a joy to be able to capture moments and reactions of everyone in this setting.
The last event of the evening was a beautiful sparkler exit for the couple flanked by all of their guests. It was a wonderful end to a special day, and as a London Asian wedding photographer, I thank both Nicholas & Anisha for choosing me to document their wedding. Here are some highlights from their Asian wedding and reception:
