I had the absolute pleasure in documenting Rahul & Rhea’s Roka ceremony at Baylis House in Stoke Poges, Berkshire.
It was an intimate but lovely day, filled with genuine excitement and emotion for the joining of two families. It started with Rahul’s family making a long trip down from Nottingham, their home town, and were welcomed into the venue by Rhea’s family.
Once Rhea made her entrance with her brother, Manish, the ceremony proceeded with the exchange of beautiful gifts, and lots of Indian sweets. The conclusion of the Roka ceremony marked the official engagement of the happy couple, which in turn got everyone on the dance floor.
As an Indian wedding photographer in London, I always try and find time during the day to take portraits. I was lucky enough to get Rahul & Rhea all to myself for half an hour and they certainly didn’t need much direction from me! Both were absolute naturals in front of the camera and this allowed me up to get some creative and unique shots.
It was a lovely ceremony and it was great to witness to amazing families join together, and ready for the big day early next year! Here are some highlights from their day:
It was an absolute pleasure being their Asian wedding photographer in London. If you have liked what you have seen, please feel free look at my other work as well. I would love to hear about your big day and how I can help, so contact me today!
