Royal Horseguard Hotel
As an Asian wedding photographer in London, the Royal Horseguard Hotel on the Embankment is a dream venue.
Located on the popular Embankment right on the Thames, the view it offers are second to none. With London Eye across the river and the Houses of Parliament further down, guests can enjoy the view with a short walk from the hotel onto Embankment bridge.
The Royal Horseguard Hotel itself is a stunning wedding venue. The Gladstone Library is one of the main rooms where a traditional Indian wedding can be held and you can easily fit up to 300 guests. You can really feel the history behind the place, especially as it has been restored to its full Victorian glory. The high ceiling with pillars along the sides, and books high up on the wall add to the drama of the room. This can make for some incredible portraits, with plenty of features to take advantage of. Other smaller rooms are available but none of the detailing or dramatic features diminish.
As well as the Gladstone Library, the other breathtaking feature of this hotel is the sweeping marble staircase. Again, this can be utilised for some amazing portraits, especially when looking down from above.
For me, The Royal Horseguard Hotel is one of the most dramatic wedding venues I have photographed in. Steeped in history and grandeur, it will make an amazing addition to the story of your wedding day.
