Joshua & Archana

Part 2 of Joshua & Archana’s wedding celebrations – their beautiful Tamil Wedding & Reception
Part 1 was all about their intimate civil ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall. This time round it was all about going big and colourful for their Tamil Wedding.
The Meridian Grand is an impressive building. I mean, it is massive. It can hold hundreds of people easily which is a good job really, as Joshua & Archana’s Tamil Wedding was going to be big.
Getting ready
Archana was getting ready when I arrived early at the venue. The bridal suite is located upstairs in a hidden away part of the venue, so that’s where I went first. Her friends and family were also using the suite so as you can imagine, it was pretty lively up there. But that didn’t stop me getting some shots of Archana, with the finishing touches being applied.
Not far from the Meridian Grand, Joshua was also having his finishing touches applied, as him and his family made their way over to the venue.
The Religious Ceremony
Once the greeting ceremonies were performed by both families, Joshua and his brother were welcomed onto the stage for the start of the Tamil Wedding. Soon after, Archana, who looked amazing, made her way in to meet Joshua. As a Tamil Wedding Photographer, their beautiful ceremony was joy to document, with so many emotions on show.
Portraits in the forest
After the ceremony, we jumped in our cars and headed to nearby Epping Forest for portraits. I had done a bit of research leading up to their wedding, as I knew there wasn’t much around the immediate vicinity of the venue. So Epping Forest seemed like the perfect location. And it didn’t disappoint. We had a good chunk of time exploring the area and found some nice backgrounds by the lake with amazing light.
The final celebrations
Back at the venue and after a break, the room was turned around for the reception and it looked incredible. Guests enjoyed their drinks reception and canapés before heading into the main hall to find their seats.
As a little surprise, they were greeted by the newlyweds on their balcony overlooking the main room. They soon made their way down to huge cheers to cut their cake. If you had read Part 1 – their civil ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall – you would know how emotional both Joshua & Archana are. And the emotions ran high again during speeches as well.
The rest of the evening was full of good times, good food and great company. It was such a pleasure working with these two during their two-part wedding. We captured some truly epic moments throughout the day which what you want as a Tamil Wedding Photographer.
So here are some highlights of their Tamil Wedding & Reception at the Meridian Grand in London. Enjoy!
