A beautiful, fun-filled wedding within a historic and iconic setting

The Roman Baths is a venue like no other. Not only is it steeped in history, it’s also a world-famous attraction which draws in people from all over the world. Speaking of which, Mallory, hailing from the States, and Sami, whose family background is Kuwaiti, brought the international flavour to their beautiful wedding.

A Familiar Location

I have been blessed to have photographed many weddings and elopements at The Roman Baths in recent years. Each time I come here, I always feel that special atmosphere. Sami & Mallory first got in contact with me after coming across my details from the preferred suppliers list at The Roman Baths.

After months of planning and learning about their plans, their day was finally here. I arrived in Bath and made my way over to the apartments where they were staying, literally overlooking The Roman Baths. Both them and their friends and family were in a super relaxed mood, and the excitement was there for all to see.

The Big Moment

With the doors to the venue closing, and the last of the tourists being ushered out the door, the turnaround was in full swing. Guests started congregating outside the entrance, with Sami joining them soon after.

Ones complete, the doors opened and guests made their way into the The Roman Baths, taking in the spectacle of the historic setting. Sami and his guests made their way round to the other side of the bath, where the ceremony was to be held.

With everyone in position, it was time for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to come in one by one, followed by the beaming Mallory with her father. The smiles were there for everyone to see, as Sami & Mallory exchanged their vows amongst their loved ones, with the beautiful backdrop they had wished for.

Onto the Party

With guests heading upstairs for dinner, this gave us a few minutes to get some lovely, natural portraits around the bath before the sun set on a warm evening.

They soon made their grand entrance to huge cheers, as the evening continued with great food and lots of drink. Cake cutting signalled the opening of the dance floor, where the celebrations continued late into the night.

Sami & Mallory’s wedding was so much fun to document. So many things came together to make it extra special such as the international vibe, the amazing venue and an incredible couple. As a Destination Wedding Photographer, that is all you can wish for, giving you the opportunity to tell their visual story, in their way.

So with that, here are some highlights from their day. Enjoy!
