“You honestly have captured the wedding so perfectly and we felt we just relived it all again.”
Hindu Wedding & Reception | Northbrook Park | Surrey
A beautifully fun-filled wedding at a familiar, yet favourite location.
Amish & Rina are one of those couples that have an amazingly infectious aura. In the time that I worked with them, they always had a smile on their face and enjoyed every moment together. That was certainly the case during their beautiful Hindu wedding & reception at Northbrook Park in Surrey. I first got to know them during many phone and video consultations leading up to their wedding, as well as their pre-wed shoot. It felt like we had known each other for years, such with the ease of working with them.
Excitement In The Air
So when their moment had finally arrived, I knew, as a Documentary Wedding Photographer, that I would capture many amazing moments throughout their wedding day. They were both getting ready in their respective cottages a short walk away from Northbrook Park. Excitement was in the air as I started with Rina for getting ready shots and family portraits, before heading over to Amish’s cottage for the same. Shortly after, Amish made his way to the venue via a beautiful white classic car.
The Jaan (Grooms) arrival was a lively and colourful affair, as the procession made their way down the gravel path towards to the venue. Rina’s family greeted them with a short traditional ceremony, before heading over to the orangery where the Hindu Wedding was taking place. It wasn’t long before Rina’s bridesmaids made their way down the aisle, followed by Rina herself. It was the start of a beautiful wedding filled with plenty of smiles, laughter and tears of joy.
Northbrook Park seems to be a venue I visit more often than any other, but I will never tire of photographing there. There are so many lovely spots for portraits, you can find something new each time. So when it came to portraits after the Hindu Wedding, I knew where to go but also discovered some places I’ve not explored before.
A Fitting End To An Amazing Day
Amish & Rina departed soon after to get ready for the evenings reception, as guests made their way to the Vine room for drinks and canapés. They soon joined their guests after they both got changed into their reception outfits, before we headed back out for some more portraits around the grounds.
With guests now seated in the orangery, the energy levels were high as the newlyweds made their grand entrance to huge cheers. With great food, speeches and the first dance, the levels remained high all through the night.
As I said at the top, it was an absolute pleasure working with Amish & Rina. You could really tell they were loving every moment and savouring the occasion with their friends and family. As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, it’s always a joy capturing events like these, where you know sheer happiness is in every frame.
And with that, here are highlights from their beautiful wedding at Northbrook Park.
