Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park
As locations go for Wedding Venues in London, you can’t get much better than the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.
As the name suggests, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is situated bang in the middle of fashionable Knightsbridge.
With the hustle and bustle of tourists, world-famous shops and incredible Michelin-starred restaurants (two of which are in the hotel!). Head round towards the back, and it’s like you’ve been transported to another part of London. One which is leafy, quite and calm.
As the name suggests, Hyde Park is essentially the hotel’s back garden. This makes it a prime location for accessibility for guests as well as a space to explore, such as for portraits. The road behind the hotel is closed off to traffic. This makes it a perfect place for the groom to start his arrival. From here, they can sing and dance their way down the road and through the entrance into the venues’ terrace. The wedding party can make their way up the grand, white steps and into the Ballroom.
The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park offers multiple rooms and spaces depending on the type of event you require. But one thing is certain, all their rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained, making it easier to decorate if needed.
When it comes to exploring the rest of the hotel, this is where a Luxury Wedding Photographer such as myself has endless opportunities to get creative with portraits. There are unique spots and backdrops all over the venue. From the award-winning spa on the ground floor, all the way up to the suites, it’s a lot of fun finding those unique, timeless shots that the couple will love.
Whenever I photograph at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, I always get a buzz of excitement, mainly because of the timeless heritage it offers. It honestly is one of the most spectacular hotels I have been in anywhere in the world. And the fact it’s in London, makes it even better.
