Ashley & Rajinder

Sikh Wedding | Central Gurdwara, Khalsa Jatha
Wedding Reception | The Landmark London

A beautiful day of two halves at two equally stunning central London venues

An early start in West London

The Landmark London is one of those venues that makes you feel like you could be anywhere but London. I have been fortunate enough to photograph here numerous times, and each time it takes the breathe away.

The Winter Garden is particularly impressive, with its huge palm trees and glass ceiling which floods the whole space in natural light. You could almost think you were in the Middle East somewhere.

So when Ashley & Rajinder contacted me about their wedding day plans, I was all ears.

But before this, their day started at the beautiful Central Gurdwara (Khalsa Jatha) in Shepherds Bush, West London, for their Sikh Wedding

Straight away, I knew their day was going to be how they wanted. They both arrived at the same time and had their pre-wedding ceremony together outside. Once guests were seated in the main hall, they both walked in together rather than the traditional way of individually.

But the thing for me was how happy they were the whole time, which always makes it a dream to capture for a Sikh Wedding Photographer like myself. The smiles were there for everyone to see and they couldn’t wait to get married in front of their loved ones.

Back to a familiar territory

Soon after the religious ceremony and after lunch, we all made our way over to The Landmark London for the wedding reception.

While guests were relaxing in the Winter Garden, we took advantage by taking portraits inside the venue. As I have been at this venue a few times, I knew where some great spots were, but also discovered a few other new places too.

Guests made their way in to the main hall before Ashley & Rajinder made their grand entrance and to cut their cake. It was a raucous moment as the live band, Pocket Jukebox, were playing to cheers and celebrations.

The good vibes continue

The rest of the evening carried on with the good vibes with plenty more dancing and great food.

It really was a lovely wedding to be a part of, and Ashley & Rajinder are one of the sweetest couples I have worked with. They really loved every moment of their day and it certainly shows in their photographs.
