Part one of Rob & Raveena’s wedding events – a fun and colourful Sikh wedding at the Guru Nanak Sikh Academy in London

They had to wait a long time, but Rob & Raveena finally got married! I first met them almost two years prior on our initial consultation and I knew straight away, they would be an amazing couple to work with. Both are so chilled, happy and just love being in each other company. However as with most couples and their weddings, everything was put on hold in 2020 and they had to postpone.

Let the fun begin

So fast forward a year, and their Sikh Wedding day had finally arrived. Having been in contact with Rob & Raveena throughout, it was clear that their excitement levels were still sky-high. I knew it was going to be a lovely, intimate day to be a part of.

Raveena was first to arrive at the Guru Nanak Sikh Academy in her stunning Sikh wedding dress. Closely followed by the rest of her family, we found a space to take a few family portraits. With Raveena now hidden away in another room, Rob and his family arrived, greeted by Raveena’s family for the start of the Milni Ceremony.

With Rob and his family now seated in the Diwan hall, Raveena made her entrance for the start of a beautiful and emotional ceremony. Afterwards, we had an opportunity to take some family and couples portraits, concluding with the Doli Ceremony.

As a Sikh Wedding Photographer in London, It was an absolute pleasure documenting Rob & Raveena’s Wedding. After all they’ve been through with the postponements, part one of their wedding celebrations was done. Now the focus was on part two – their civil ceremony and reception – coming up later in the Summer.
