Indian Wedding & Reception | Manor of Groves | Hertfordshire

When the party essentially starts before the wedding does, you know you’re in for a wild ride.

And that was certainly the case for Samit & Alisha’s wedding at the Manor of Groves in Hertfordshire. With Samit arriving in style in a classic Rolls Royce, the noise levels amongst his guests ramped up several notches as a 4×4 music truck played the beats that got the day off to a flyer.

Start As You Mean To Go On

The grooms arrival and party vibes continued for at least another 30 minutes! Easily one of the longest and most entertaining Jaan arrivals I have witnessed. It was pretty much a wedding reception – but before the actual wedding itself! It was a lot of fun being amongst the crowd as they danced away while the smoke flares provided the colourful backdrop.

The guests were well and truly ready for the rest of the day as Samit was welcomed into the main hall. As he walked down the aisle into the mandap, it wasn’t long before a beaming Alisha joined him for the start of the Hindu Wedding Ceremony.

The Good Times Continue

With the Ceremony concluded, focus now turned towards the second party of the day – the Wedding Reception. Both Alisha & Samit looked amazing as they made their entrance into their reception whilst their guests were spinning napkins in the air, creating a raucous atmosphere.

The entertainment continued with special dance performances, speeches and first dance. It was time for the dance floor to open and for everyone to really let their hair down.

When I look back on years to come, as I reflect on the experiences I have had as an Asian Wedding Photographer, weddings like Samit & Alisha’s at the Manor of Groves will very much come to mind. The energy, love and all-round fun that was evident during their day was a joy to be a part of, and to capture all their incredible moments.

So with that, here are some highlights from their day.
