Wedding Reception | The City Pavilion | Romford

A super fun wedding reception with incredible energy and good times.

Having tied the knot a few months earlier, it was now time for Aaron & Nicola’s second round of celebrations. This time, it was their Wedding Reception being held at The City Pavilion in Romford.

However, before the celebrations started, myself Aaron and Nicola met at Hanault Park for some portraits. It was another hot day in the middle of the UK Summer, so conditions were perfect. We spent a little while exploring a small section of the huge grounds which had plenty of lovely backdrops.

Bringing the Good Vibes

As the sun continued to beat down, I captured the shots we needed and headed to The City Pavilion to set up and to cool down. Guests were gradually making their way into the venue for the drinks reception, eagerly awaiting for the happy couple to make their entrance.

And what an entrance it was. As guests took their seats and the doors to the room were opened, Aaron & Nicola burst into the reception full of energy and danced their way down towards the dance floor. Their energy levels set the tone for the rest of the evening. 

Epic Sunset. Beautiful Portraits.

As the sun was setting, it started to cast a beautiful, warm glow into the room. I promptly went over to Nicola & Aaron and asked if they were up for some sunset portraits. As soon as they looked outside, they were totally up for it. A few moments later, the three of us were standing outside with an epic sunset dipping low in the background. We literally had minutes before the sun disappear behind the horizon. But by then, we had already captured some incredible portraits.

Back in the venue, speeches, cake cutting and more dancing continued late into the night, and it was a whole lot of fun documenting it all. It was a lively dance floor, as DJ Kash kept everyone there all night, and we even had a couple of the guests pick up the mic, providing some rhymes to dance to.

Working with Aaron & Nicola was a lot of fun. The energy they brought to their Wedding Reception was infectious, and it spread to all their friends and family who were there to celebrate with them. So with that, here are some highlights from their evening. Enjoy!
