There are moments in life that will stay with me forever — and Aman & Sunaina’s incredible wedding in Lake Como, Italy is without doubt one of them. As a Destination Wedding Photographer, I’m lucky enough to capture celebrations in some of the world’s most breathtaking locations, but this one was truly special.

A Family Connection

I’ve known Sunaina and her family for several years now. I photographed her sister’s lovely wedding first, followed by her brother’s beautiful celebration in Santorini, Greece. When it came time for Sunaina’s own wedding, I was beyond thrilled to be asked to capture it too.

After chatting through a few possible destinations, Sunaina and Aman settled on Lake Como — a choice that promised stunning views, timeless charm, and unforgettable memories. It wasn’t long before they booked me, and before I knew it, I was stepping off the plane into the warm Milan sunshine, ready for another adventure.

A short train ride brought me to Lecco, where the celebrations would begin. That evening, everyone gathered for welcome drinks at a nearby hotel — the perfect chance to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones from Aman’s side of the family. There was an instant sense of excitement in the air.

The Big Day Begins

The next morning, both Aman and Sunaina were buzzing with anticipation as they got ready in their respective boutique hotel rooms. I love these quieter, intimate parts of a wedding day — the laughter, the nerves, the small details that say so much.

Their first look was one of those magical moments that set the tone for the entire day. The joy on their faces said it all — they were ready to celebrate. Before the ceremony, we set off on a boat ride across the sparkling waters of Lake Como. The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking, with the sun glistening off the lake and the mountains framing every shot perfectly.

As we sped across the calm waters, I remember thinking: these are the moments that make being a destination wedding photographer so rewarding.

A Ceremony with a View

Their ceremony took place at Ristorante La Madonnina di Barni, perched high above the lake with panoramic views that looked like something straight out of a film. Guests arrived by coach and were instantly in awe of the setting — the kind of place that leaves you speechless.

When Aman took his place at the aisle and Sunaina walked down with her father, the emotions were palpable. With the shimmering blue of Lake Como behind them, they exchanged vows, rings, and their first kiss, surrounded by those they love most.

Golden Hour Portraits & A Joyful Reception

As the sun began to dip, casting a warm golden glow across the hills, we captured some final portraits in the gardens of Ristorante La Madonnina di Barni before heading to the reception.

The evening flowed effortlessly — heartfelt speeches, a relaxed dinner, and plenty of laughter. The atmosphere was full of warmth and joy, and once the music started, the dance floor came alive. Between the fireworks, the first dance, and the energy of the guests, it was one of the most incredible parties I’ve ever photographed.
