Dylan & Megha

“OMG the photos are fantastic! Thanks a million Bhav :)’
Hindu Wedding & Reception | Battersea Arts Centre | London
A beautifully colourful, vibrant and energetic Hindu Wedding in an eclectic setting.
A Unique Setting
Battersea Art Centre is a truly unique venue. It has plenty of character with a rustic aesthetic that I have not seen in any other wedding venue. I have also photographed here in the past, so I knew how awesome Dylan & Megha’s day would be.
And I knew this would be a perfect venue for their wedding day. The main ballroom looked as impressive as the first time I was here. The vast space with high ceilings makes it a perfect place as a music venue – and as it turns out, a wedding venue too!
A Colourful Occasion
The mandap and decor was beautifully set up, as the glow from the morning sun was beaming through the high windows. As guests began to gather, Dylan was making his way around greeting his friends and family. It wasn’t long before he was making his grand entrance into the venue to be welcomed by Megha’s family.
As Dylan made his way down into the mandap, it was Megha’s turn to be brought down the aisle for the start of the Maharashtrian wedding ceremony.
The colours from both their outfits truly popped against the warm and rustic nature of the bare brick walls of the Battersea Arts Centre. It was a beautiful ceremony to document, with all the happy emotions you would want to capture, and the energy from the guests making it a really special moment.
The Party Continues
As the venue is in a very urban part of London, there wasn’t much in the way of locations surrounding it for portraits. However, the interior more than made up for it. We captured some beautiful, natural light shots along the corridors and atrium, with its impressive stained glass domed ceiling.
With the room turned around in no time, guests took their seats as Dylan & Megha bounced their way in, beaming with smiles as they cut their cake. Special dance performances followed before the floor opened for the first dance, with guests accompanying them well into the late hours.Â
As an Asian Wedding Photographer in London, Battersea Arts Centre is up there as one of my favourites to photograph in. Weddings there always have a great vibe and Dylan & Megha’s had that and much more.Â
It was an absolute joy working with them, with their positive nature and infectious energy. It makes it so much more fun documenting weddings with amazing people.
So with that, here are some highlights from their day!
