Inderjeet & Krishna

“These are INCREDIBLE! Everyone looks so happy and joyous. You captured it so beautifully, thank you so so much.’
Hindu Wedding & Reception | Springkell House | Scotland
An absolutely incredible Hindu wedding surrounded by stunning Scottish countryside.
Inderjeet & Krishna’s was the wedding I had on my radar for a looooong time. In fact, they had booked me two years previously, knowing that I was the right fit for them. But truthfully, they are exactly the kind of couple I love working with – laid back, down to each, fun, and most importantly, love life.
A Perfect Location
As an Asian Wedding Photographer, I have been blessed to have worked in some incredible locations both in the UK and abroad. However, Springkell House in Lockerbie, Scotland, is right up there as one of the most beautiful venues I have worked at.
The house sits amongst acres of untouched land, with views as far as the eye can see. There’s no surprise why Inderjeet & Krishna chose it as their venue for their wedding.
Having arrived the day before to capture their guests dinner, the weather was not looking promising. Despite it being June, it was cold, wet and blustery. It did not bode well for an outdoor Hindu Wedding Ceremony the next day.
A Picturesque Setting
It’s amazing what a few hours can do. Overnight, the conditions completely changed and morning was crisp and sunny. Game on for an outdoor ceremony.
As the mandap was being set up on the lawn, I already knew we were in for an incredible wedding. The settings were just perfect and the colours were already popping – but the view made me want to pinch myself.
Both Inderjeet & Krishna looked amazing. The brief for their wedding was plenty of colour, vibrancy and a lot of fun. The brief was definitely met and then some. It was one of the most fun ceremonies I have captured within a picturesque setting.
There were numerous moments during the ceremony where I slowed down, and fully appreciated the scene I was seeing. At times like these, I really do feel blessed to do what I do and being able to work with incredible people on their most special day.
With the sun continuing to cast it’s golden glow across Springkell House, Inderjeet, Krishna and myself explored the grounds, finding little spaces for portraits. I had already scouted out a few places that morning, so we were efficient with time.
The Celebrations Continue
With the marquee set up and guests making their way to their seats, we had a few more moments for portraits, and this time in the reception outfits.
The guests were eagerly waiting, and it wasn’t long before the happy couple made their way in amongst huge cheers. Speeches, first dance and plenty more dancing into the wee hours made for a truly memorable day.
As mentioned before, Inderjeet & Krishna’s wedding in Springkell House, Scotland, really was a special occasion to be a part of. Everything about it made for a truly unique wedding, and one that I will remember for a long time. But for me, what made it extra special was being able to worth with amazing people like Inderjeet & Krishna. They set the tone with their energy, love and good vibes, which spread amongst everyone involved with their wedding.
Here are some highlights from their day.
