A full on, emotion-packaged and super fun wedding at an incredible venue.

Kush and Medhavi’s big day had finally arrived. After photographing Medhavi’s Haldi and their lively joint Sangeet the day before, I already had a sense of what was to come — a day overflowing with smiles, laughter, and an incredible amount of love shared between them and their guests.

First Impressions of North Mymms Park

It was my first time at North Mymms Park, and what a venue it is — grand, historic, and full of character. The wedding was set to take place outside on the lawn, where the final touches of the stunning décor were being arranged as I arrived.

Kush had just got there too, and it wasn’t long before he was having his pagh (turban) tied. After capturing those moments, I made my way upstairs to see Medhavi. She was calm, collected, and glowing with quiet excitement as she got ready for the day ahead.

The Baraat Arrives in Style

Guests began arriving by coach, stepping out to take in the beautiful grounds of North Mymms Park and waiting in anticipation for the baraat. When the time came, Kush and his family made their entrance in true style.

Mounted on his horse, Kush brought infectious energy, joined by the rhythmic beats of the dhol players and bursts of colourful smoke flares. The music, the dancing, and the energy made it one of the most entertaining jaan arrivals I’ve captured.

A Beautiful Ceremony on the Lawn

After more than 30 minutes of dancing and celebration, it was time for the ceremony. Kush was welcomed down the aisle and into the mandap for the start of the Hindu wedding.

While this was happening, I had a few quiet moments with Medhavi for portraits as she watched his entrance from afar. Not long after, she began her walk from the house — smiling radiantly as her parents looked on with emotion.

The ceremony itself was beautifully conducted, filled with smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears. The energy between Kush and Medhavi was contagious, spreading to everyone around them as friends and family fully immersed themselves in the moment. Before long, the ceremony came to a close with the traditional koda kodi games — a playful and perfect end to their Hindu wedding.

Portraits Around the Grounds

As guests enjoyed lunch, we took advantage of the golden light and the breathtaking setting of North Mymms Park. Kush and Medhavi hardly needed any direction — by now they were completely at ease in front of the camera and with each other. I simply captured their candid moments as they unfolded naturally, along with some light direction.

Later in the day, guests gathered back on the lawn for the drinks reception. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, with live music setting the tone and a magician adding some fun between conversations and laughter.

We snuck away for a few more portraits of Kush and Medhavi in their evening outfits before they joined their guests — eager to celebrate and take in what had already been such a magical day.

The Evening Party

As the summer sun dipped behind the house, everyone made their way to the marquee for the evening celebrations. Glasses were filled, conversations buzzed, and soon the newlyweds made their grand entrance to a huge round of cheers. They danced their way in before popping a bottle of champagne to kick off the night in style.

Dinner, heartfelt speeches, and their first dance followed — all leading to an incredible dance floor. DJ Vish from Musical Movements made sure it stayed packed until the very end.

A Joy to Capture

Working with Kush and Medhavi over several events was an absolute joy. They radiate warmth and energy, and it’s impossible not to get swept up in their world. As an Asian Wedding Photographer, capturing their wedding at North Mymms Park was a privilege — every moment was filled with emotion, laughter, and genuine love.
