A beautiful fusion Hindu wedding where two incredible cultures came together.

As an Asian wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of capturing many multicultural celebrations — but Suri and Elisa’s fusion Hindu-Spanish wedding was a first for me. From the moment we first spoke, I knew their day would be something truly special. And it absolutely was.

The Start of a Beautiful Day

I arrived at The Manor Elstree on a calm, early summer morning. The mandap in the marquee was beautifully set up — the perfect moment to photograph it before guests began to arrive.

Inside the house, Elisa was having the final touches done to her makeup. The room was full of energy — a mix of excitement, laughter, and a few nerves — as her friends and family made sure she felt calm and loved.

Outside, at the front of the house, Suri was ready and waiting with his family for the bharaat. Soon, the sound of music and joyful cheers filled the air as they danced their way towards Elisa’s family — a vibrant start to their Hindu ceremony.

As the rituals began under the mandap, Elisa joined Suri, and the antrapat (the curtain separating them) was lowered to reveal her radiant smile. What followed was a beautiful ceremony filled with emotion — smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears.

There’s something magical about multicultural weddings — that moment of curiosity and wonder as two cultures blend, and families experience new traditions for the first time. Suri and Elisa’s wedding was full of that magic.

After the ceremony and the fun of the koda kodi games, guests headed off for lunch while I spent some time with the newlyweds capturing portraits around the peaceful grounds of The Manor.

Celebrating Two Beautiful Cultures

Part two of the day was their civil ceremony, a more intimate affair that felt deeply personal. Suri waited with his family and friends, and as Elisa entered the room, you could feel the emotion rise again. Their vows were heartfelt, their smiles radiant — and when they were finally announced as husband and wife, the room erupted with cheers and happy tears.

Outside in the gardens, the confetti moment was pure joy — everyone gathered to celebrate their love before heading off to get ready for the evening festivities.

The reception was a beautiful nod to Elisa’s Spanish heritage, complete with delicious tapas, music, and dancing late into the night. It was the perfect finale to a day that had already been overflowing with love, culture, and connection.

Working with Suri and Elisa was an absolute pleasure. Their warmth and affection for one another — and for everyone around them — made their day so special to capture. You can truly feel their love in every frame.

Here are some of my favourite moments from their unforgettable day — enjoy!
