One word to describe Umar & Nadiah’s Wedding & Reception at Rudding Park in Harrogate? – Stunning.

When Umar & Nadiah first got in touch about being their Asian Wedding Photographer, I soon realised what an incredible day this could turn out to be. Not just because of the gorgeous location they had chosen, but mainly because of themselves.

Both are the most chilled and smiliest couple I have had the pleasure in photographing and nothing phased them on the day. They were truly living the dream amongst their loved ones, and of course, with each other.

A beautiful start to the day

The day started as it meant to go on. The sun was casting a beautiful golden glow over the grounds of Rudding Park. Both Umar & Nadiah were relaxed while I captured individual getting-ready shots.

The first event of the day was an intimate church blessing in the adjacent chapel. The church looked beautiful in the sunlight which filtered its way inside. This was soon followed by the Civil Ceremony before guests and the newlyweds changed outfits for the Nikkah Ceremony.

An incredible backdrop

The sun was still beating down but with brief respites from the passing clouds. The Nikkah Ceremony was held outside against the epic backdrop of Rudding Park’s grounds. For brief moments it felt like we were in another country with the warm breeze and beautiful scenery. It was a lovely ceremony and afterwards, guests had a chance to relax and get ready for the evening’s reception.

The final part of the day had arrived and it started with Umar’s bharat entrance in front of the house. Once all guests were seated, Umar & Nadiah made their entrance for what proved to be the beginning of the end to an absolutely amazing day.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple, Umar & Nadiah and thank you for choosing me to be your Asian Wedding Photographer. Their wedding at Rudding Park will live long in my memory. Not only for its beauty and hospitality from their friends and family, but also because of the location. I don’t get to visit Yorkshire that often, if at all, so it was an absolute pleasure making the long journey. It was totally worth it.
