Hindu Wedding | The Manor Haveli, Bhaktivedanta Manor | London
A beautiful Hindu Wedding full of emotion and joy, at one of my favourite venues – The Manor Haveli at Bhaktivedanta Manor
The Manor Haveli at Bhaktivedanta Manor is one of those venues and locations that I would never get tired of visiting. And as an Indian Wedding Photographer, this place ticks all the boxes.
The Manor Haveli itself has only recently been built, mainly to hold functions and events such as Hindu Weddings. It is a really versatile space, allow for guest numbers of varying amounts. Plus we haven’t even mentioned the stunning grounds!
As I always do for full-day weddings, I arrived early at the venue to settle in and to say hello to the couple and their families. In Rajal’s case, she was in a relaxed yet excited mood while she was having her finishing touches applied in the bridal room. It wasn’t long before Milan arrived with his family, as he made his way to the side of the venue for the start of the Jaan arrival.
Let the celebrations begin
It was a gloriously sunny and warm morning as Milan exited his car to be greeted by Rajal’s family. After a short welcome ceremony between the two families, Milan entered the room and made his way down to the mandap, beautifully set up by Shagun Weddings. As with traditions at Hindu Weddings, Milan’s shoes were pretty much torn from his feet by Rajal’s family. It was all done with good spirits though, but it did cause a mass scramble between family members to see who could get his shoes first.
Once the mayhem had subsided, Milan took his seat and awaited his bride-to-be to make her entrance. And after a short ceremony, Rajal, accompanied by her brother, entered the room and made her way down the aisle to for the start of the Hind Wedding ceremony.
Another reason why The Manor Haveli makes a perfect venue – the civil ceremony is also able to take place under mandap. And this is exactly what Milan & Rajal did before the start of the Hindu Wedding. It was the start of a really fun ceremony and you could tell that the happy couple were loving every moment. The emotions were there for all to see, and it was mainly one of pure happiness.
Exploring the grounds
The day remained warm and bright which made for perfect conditions for the couple portraits afterwards. While guests departed, we found quiet corners of the Manor which also offered beautiful backdrops. And there are plenty to be had here. We calmly made our way around the immaculate gardens as well as around the perimeter of the lake. The options really are endless.
As I said at the top, I love coming back to The Manor Haveli every time. And when you get to work with awesome couples like Milan & Rajal, it makes it even better. I had a really fun time capturing their day and here are some highlights from their beautiful Indian wedding. Enjoy!
