Umer & Zaynah wedding reception in Fennes, Essex, was beautiful, fun and slightly stressful… read on!

It was the first time I had been to Fennes and what a great venue! The grounds are beautiful with so much character, including a gazebo, lake with fountain and immaculate gardens. And the house inside is beautifully presented with period features and furniture.

Both Umer & Zaynah were at the venue before their guests, mainly so we can spend some time in the grounds for some portraits. The weather was warm but overcast but for photographers, this offers the perfect light. And we definitely made the most of it. There is no shortage of locations in the Fennes and both Umer & Zaynah looked incredible.

Meanwhile, guests were starting to arrive for some drinks out on the lawn before heading into the large marquee where the reception was being held. It wasn’t long before Umer & Zaynah made their entrance for the cake cutting.

But peoples attentions (including Umer’s!) soon moved to other important matters. The Euro 2020 tournament was currently on, and in particular, England were playing Ukraine in the quarter-finals that evening. Nerves were soon settled once England scored early on, much to the delight of the guests… and Umer.

The rest of the evening was very chilled and people were enjoying the good food and vibes. Plus England won 4-0 so happy days all round.
